LIOSFERA Product Units — installation and settings
Verified Free 1.1.0 — measured quantities and whole-box area.
Installation
- Back up the store and test on a staging copy first.
- Download Free 1.1.0, then open WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and choose the ZIP.
- Activate WooCommerce 11.2 or later and LIOSFERA Product Units.
- Open a simple product → Product data → General → LIOSFERA Product Units.
- Enable the measured unit, minimum, optional maximum (zero = unlimited) and step.
Measured quantities
Supported units: kg, g, m, cm, m², m³, l, pcs. Enter WooCommerce product price and stock per the selected sales unit. Example: at 600 per kg, step 0.25 kg, buying 1.25 kg gives 750 before tax and delivery. Shipping weight is independent of the sales unit.
Whole-box area coverage
- For a simple product choose pcs, set minimum at least 1 and step exactly 1.
- Enter Coverage per box (m²), for example 1.23.
- Set normal WooCommerce price and stock per complete box, not per m².
- Try 2.46 m² (two boxes) and 2.47 m² (three boxes); the requested area rounds upward.
Actual covered m² appears in Cart/Checkout Blocks. The order stores m² per box so order edits and refunds do not leave a stale aggregate.
Updates and uninstall
This ZIP is distributed directly by LIOSFERA. Before manually updating, back up the site, download the newer ZIP and check the version. WordPress.org automatic update notifications are not available until directory publication. Uninstall preserves product settings by default; opt-in deletion under WooCommerce → Product Units removes this plugin’s product meta, not customer orders.
Compatibility and safety
WordPress 7.1+, PHP 8.2+, WooCommerce 11.2+, simple products. Check staging behavior with shipping/tax extensions, checkout methods, inventory plugins and your theme. WP Desk Flexible Quantity is incompatible with fractional measured quantities in tested configurations. No cloud connection, license key or visitor tracking is needed.
